Memorial Services October 2, 2010, 8:00am

September 30, 2010. Uncle Jim passed today at 6:03pm. Services to be held October 2nd, 2010 on CR1400 (Quail Road). We gather to mourn his passing, and celebrate his life. As we pass his final resting place, and collectively hold our noses, (at mile 1.45, or so), we will remember why we came to run here today. Maybe.

  2. I'm hoping the flies will take care of him by then. Wait...Do we need another coon-skin cap for the youth prizes?

  3. That's a thought. I was thinking just the tail would be cool.

  4. Nah, the pelt is perfect on this one. Just a little blood out the mouth. A clean run-over. Little scrawny, though.

  5. There was that black kitten up on 12th. Did we decide if kittens were out-of-bounds or not? Some people really like em.

  6. Did it have any white? Can we say it is a skunk? Or maybe a hint of brown - beaver pelts are still politically correct, right?

  7. I am NOT giving a beaver to anyone. Sorry.

  8. OK, Ok, it was just a cat we were "calling" a beaver, remember? It's not like that "bear" that turned out to be Boomer's cousin's black lab that ran away. Now we need a new master's women's second-place prize. The "bearskin rug" idea is just too repugnant to me. (now that I know about the dog thing. How could I tell? it was a little de-composed.)
